One of the most popular science magazines in Brazil invited us to create an infographic to fill up the article «How does the breathalyzer works?» which features the polemic brazilian Driver’s Dry Law. Illustration based on the device’s detailed function.

Artwork created for this colorful Argentinian magazine in its 5th edition. The illustration was based on the magazine’s main subject, «Protest!». We took several characters to be part of an unusual and funny riot. Check their site.

The magazine focuses on practical exercises for creative professionals. Artwork developed for the featured article «Designed to a tee». Some shirts were doodled in textile ink. After that, Felipe Bittar, photographer, took some apparel pictures and different concepts were applied in vector based softwares after that proccess.

Mopa was invited to create the cover artwork for the edition # 139. The project was based on the featured article: «Stay Fresh». We had to use together 10 design clichés in the cover image. Besides the newstand cover, we created a subscriber’s edition jacket in the same style. After the english release, Computer Arts Brasil asked us to translate the headlines for their #2 edition.

An illustration series created for this pedagogical magazine’s storytelling article. Each year, they invite illustrators and writers to co-work on a unique children’s story. Project based on Marcelo Duarte’s story about a tollbooth woman who speaks truckish, the language of trucks. After the story’s first part was published, children from all over the country who listened to the story over their schools sent drawings to Mopa telling how the story should end. We had to conclude the story in a forthcoming edition.

MTV Magazine

As an invitation from MTV’s Art Director Beto Shibata, Mopa created an illustration for the article: “MTV is not the same, anymore.” It was a remarkable turn of mind for MTV Brasil, as they decided not to focus on videoclips at all. The illustration shows MTV as a media broadcasting factory. MTV Brasil content was delivered in different options (radio, internet, magazine, broadcasting) and it was represented by lots of colors. The project was inspired by wacky places.

Capricho Magazine

Capricho is the best-selling teen girls magazine in Brazil. Illustrations were created for the last-page section on Antonio Prata’s arguments. The project took the whole year.
